The 9914 is a quad density 9-track tape system for complete data interchange, data conversion, and seismic data processing. The 9914 is a full function, horizontal 9-track open reel tape drive supporting all four of the IBM/ANSI/ECMA sanctioned recording formats: 800 (NRZ), 1600 (PE), 3200 (DPE), and 6250 (GCR) bit per inch. It features emulations to attach to all popular host platforms.
The 9914 is very user-friendly. Its simple, straight tape path and air-loading system allow tape to be loaded automatically and the drive to be put on line in ultra-fast time. It accepts all standard tape reel sizes and is whisper-quiet in operation.

The 9906 is a small but reliable desktop dual density density 9-track tape system for complete data interchange, data conversion, and data processing applications. Two models are available, 9906PE (1600 & 3200 bpi) and the 9906G (1600 & 6250 bpi). Configurable for Pertec Interface (Buffered and Unbuffered), 512K Single-ended (SE) or Differential (DIFF) SCSI, 2MB SE or DIFF Enhance SCSI.
Despite its small size, there has been no compromise in the standard of its design and construction. The 9906 reads and writes all reel sizes and all lengths of tape.
The 9906 really is user friendly. Just slip a tape spool into a front-panel slot and the machine loads itself automatically. The 9906 also has an alphanumeric front-panel display to guide you by indicating drive status and to provide an extensive diagnostic capability. For additional reassurance the spool is always visible through the front window

The M490E, also known as the STK 4890, is a 36 track tape drive capable of reading and writing 18/36 track data. (3480, 3490, 3490E) The drive is ideal for data interchange, data conversion and backup under tough conditions, such as in automated libraries, like the M490L, 9712, 9722, and the 9710.

Its many connectivity and emulation capabilities range from PCs to mainframes The full air-bearing tape path features no-contact, pressurized fixed heads, and two tape conditioners.
